What's the "BIG PICTURE" of your Internet Strategy?

If you are like many business and organizations that WANT to use the Internet and Technology to get more customers, do more business, promote an event or new product, and ALL the awesome things that can be done in the World Wide Web BUT don't know where to begin... the Tech Connective support group was designed to help you "Connect the Dots"!

Here is a summary of the STEPS you need to take in order to be successful:
  1. READY? There are hundreds of options on how to accomplish your goals using technology but you first have to DEFINE YOUR GOALS (what's your BIG PICTURE?) Preparation is key before you begin any new step.
  2. AIM... Once goals are defined, who are you aiming at? Your TARGET MARKET will have much influence on what will work for you. If you don't know what your target is, how will you know how to hit it?
  3. FIRE! There are no "crystal balls" on what will work but with a good strategy, you should do pretty well. Once the first round is out... assess the results, adjust the strategy, and fire again. Once is usually not enough to hit the bullseye (even for the seasoned veterans).
That said, the CHALLENGE is that many of us fall into one of these "strategies":
  • READY. - We are overwhelmed by everything so we don't begin anything. Often called "analysis paralysis" it will hold us back until we "figure it out" but the problem is we'll never know everything so...
  • FIRE - FIRE - FIRE! - We "pull the trigger" on everything that seems to make sense on the surface. And if it didn't work the first time, we abandon the strategy because "it doesn't work" but just might with a little more preparation.
  • READY... FIRE! - We do our "homework" on the goals and strategies but don't focus enough attention on who really matters... and THAT is our target market. Are we aiming to hit THEIR hot button, do we understand what THEY are looking for and are they our RIGHT market?
